Who we are

The Emergency Response Team are the unit tackling crime in your local community. Responding to 999 and 101 calls every minute, our officers are trained in a variety of different skills. These include being TPAC drivers, carrying taser, or being trained in public order. We also assist our specialist divisional colleagues with jobs such as pursuits, transport to custody, knife and gang crime alongside Public Order incidents. We are also supported by Special Constables who come out in there own time to lend a hand to our full time Officers.

Our Team

ERPT is currently lead by a Superintendent and 2 Inspectors. ERPT is made up of highly skilled officers aiding and tutoring the new recruits into the force, making sure they are set to become the best officers in London. They specialise in dealing with anything from Anti Social Behaviour, Robberies, Burglaries or aggressive suspects with knifes. Even Fail to stops!

Response Officers are trained to the highest standard, however, they're given the opportunity to progress their skills by becoming TPAC trained or Taser trained. We also allow to Officers to further their career in the force by setting them up to pass in exams to join the specialist divisions such as MO19 and MO8. The division has a large fleet with a variety with off Road vehicles, Response vehicles for city driving along with BMW 530's for our TPAC and advanced drivers.
