Who we are
Metropolitan Operations 8 is an elite team of Specialist Officers trained for almost anything. MO8 Routinely Patrol around the Motorways in the West Area of London. Our team can be responding from anything ranging from an RTC to a vehicle Failing to stop. We can do pretty much anything!
Our Team
MO8 is currently lead by Supt. L.Chilvers, Insp. O.Woolford and Sgt A.Platt. Our MO8 team is made up of the most highly skilled officers in London. They specialise in dealing with any offenders who decide to use the road. All of our Traffic Officers are trained as Advanced TPAC Drivers, ready to deal with anything that is presented to them.
Traffic Officers are highly trained, however, they're given the opportunity to progress their skills by becoming PG9 officers or even trained in Solo Bike. Also most of our traffic officers are also trained to use the X2 Taser, should they ever need to use it. With our team having one of the most diverse fleet in the Met, we mostly use BMWs however, we've got many more vehicles for our highly trained officers to use. Do you think you could join us?
